How to select a frame
Choose an eyewear shape that is the opposite of your facial shape. An angular face, for example, looks best with a softer, curved frame. Next, select a frame with the same proportions as your face: a deeper frame for a long face and narrow frame for a shorter face. Follow your natural brow line. The frame can cover the brow line or fall just below, but it should not conflict with the shape of your brow.
Corrective lens types
Corrective lenses are used to correct refractive errors by bending the light entering the eye in order to alleviate the effects of conditions such as nearsightedness (myopia), farsightedness (Hypermetropia) or astigmatism. Another common condition in patients over forty years old is presbyopia, which is reducing the ability to see up close. Corrective lenses are made to conform to the prescription of an ophthalmologist or optometrist. Corrective eyeglasses can significantly improve the life quality of the wearer. Not only do they enhance the wearer’s visual experience, but can also reduce problems that appear such as headaches or squinting. A small amount of time is needed to adapt to the new lenses, usually 1–2 weeks.
